Right next to the newspapers are the magazines and journals, which have aisle sheets for each row, telling you what titles are in the row, which years are held, and whether some additional ones are held in microfilm format. Please look at these, they can save you a lot of time. You can also tell quickly what titles shelve in a particular row by looking slightly upward at each row. You will see an aisle card informing you the row has tiles beginning with such a title and goes thru another title, like the one pictured here.
| Most of our magazines and journals are kept in (Princeton File) boxes except for very large ones with issues arranged chronologically. Students and other patrons are encouraged to serve themselves, but there is always someone available should they need assistance. |

You can remove the issue you want, find the article you need, and make a copy of it. Please do not remove issues from the shelves and attempt to put them back on on the shelves, or just drop them randomly in the stacks Instead, please put them on a cart in the stacks, or place them on a cart near the circulation area, just leave them on top of a copier or any table. Pictured is a cart at one end of the periodical racks.
| Two copy machines are conveniently located on the main level not far from the circulation area. They may be found on either side of the desk, one against the exterior wall just left of the entrance, and the other against the stair wall on the opposite side. You may purchase a magnetically encoded card for one dollar allowing you to make seven copies on the first usage and then can be charged(encoded) later to give you ten copies for each dollar inserted. There is only one of these machines next to the copier by the stair wall. |
