Introduction
The Academic Computing Resources at Naugatuck Valley Community College are designed to support NVCC academic course activities and recognized student academic needs. The labs provide NVCC students and faculty with the ability to use software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and computer-aided drafting for completing assignments. In addition, most NVCC computers provide for e-mail and Internet access.
Network Access
All computers in NVCC computer labs and classrooms are connected to the campus-wide and system-wide network. The system-wide network has a gateway to the Internet, so a number of Internet applications are available to all students. Students do not need USER IDs to use the Web browsers.
General network access is available to students. The Username is the Room number and the PASSWORD is STUDENT.
Most printers and programs are accessed via the network. Therefore, students need to be logged into the network properly in order to run their programs or to print.
