IT Is Everywhere!

In the information age of the 21st century, careers in Information Technology abound with the largest number of IT jobs in non-IT companies, like hospitals or banking. In other words, the IT profession is really “interdisciplinary.”

To compete, today’s CIS students need “to have a foot in two camps – IT and a specialized business area such as health care, manufacturing, finance, management or the biological sciences,” according to the National Workforce Center for Emerging Technologies (NWCET). And according to NWCET, one out of every three jobs is an IT-related job. Soon every job will require IT skills.
