Network Administrator
A Network Administrator is an IT professional who manages an organization’s PCs and servers and local area network. The position is also known as LAN administrator, network operations analyst, or network technician and may include installing new equipment such as servers and network switches, or servicing existing equipment.

Duties of a network admin (and every network requires at least one) include the installation of PCs, networking equipment, and network operating systems, as well configuration and maintenance of the systems. This position is highly technical and a sound understanding of NOSs, network equipment and wiring, network protocols, and industry standards is essential to success.
