Information Security Specialist
An Information Security Specialist is an IT professional who designs and manages network security for an organization. The position is also known as information security engineer or security administrator. The position requires selecting the network hardware and operating systems, securing the systems, focusing on possible weaknesses and then hardening the systems as needed.

Duties of an information security specialist include the analysis of security risks and designing the security infrastructure to protect the business from security breaches. A good understanding of networking, both hardware and OSs, and the web is important for success.
